In Mauritius, there is a severe lack of high-quality draftsman that are technologically competent in the latest building and construction practices, being able to apply among others, 3D AutoCAD or even more innovative tools. To bridge this gap, UCSI Malaysia in collaboration with Polytechnics Mauritius brings you the Diploma in Architectural Studies. From laying your design foundations in the first year to strengthening your analytical and conceptual thought processes by the third year, the Diploma in Architectural Studies is a design-cum-technological programme that adopts a unique project-based learning approach, to develop you into an investigative design innovator equipped with a knowledge of the latest building technologies.

You will spend at least six months in internship with Interior Design, Engineering and Architectural companies. By the end of the programme, you will emerge with a solid portfolio and foundational knowledge in architectural design. Discussion is ongoing with the Professional Architects Council (PAC) of Mauritius for the various options post-graduation, since professional body recognition is paramount in such skills-oriented fields. However, for the time being, rather than focusing on producing Architects, we are driven to fill the gap in architectural technologists and highly skilled technicians.
