Cancer diseases are on the rise and affect a substantive percentage of the population. Due to the Clinical requirements, there is an urgent need for nursing staff to specialise in Oncology nursing so as to keep pace with advanced technology and to ensure that quality care is provided at a specialised level.
It is recognised that in today’s complex health services, especially with the accelerating technological and social development of health care, there is need for nurses who continue to develop their professional knowledge and practice beyond that required for initial registration.
This programme is based on the recognition that Oncology Nursing is about organisation and delivery of care within a variety of settings and continues to develop its own body with contribution from other disciplines.
Upon successful completion of the specialised diploma in oncology nursing you will be called to take leadership roles in a health care environment and / or embark on a teaching and mentorship profession.
This course is for those who want to embark on a specialist field of Oncology nursing and aspire consolidating their career in Oncology Nursing.
