Associate Lecturer
Qualification: A Bachelor Degree in Food and Beverages Management or relevant field from a recognized institution.
Experience:At least 5 years with demonstrated experience in Food and Beverages Management.
Experience in teaching Food and Beverages Management in tertiary environment would constitute an advantage.
Knowledge and Skills:
•be proactive and able to work under pressure;
•possess superior management, presentation communication, analytical and problem solving skills;
•demonstrate commitment and passion for the field
•Must be computer oriented
Lecturer

Experience: At least 8 years with demonstrated experience in Food and Beverages Management.
Experience in teaching Food and Beverages Management in tertiary environment would constitute an advantage.

Duties
During your term of office, you will report to the Programme Leader or the CEO (or his designated person) for the performance of the following duties:
- To report to the Programme Leader:
- Understand and promote the Vision, Mission, Values and Strategic Intent of PML among students while teaching;
- To implement and practice with students the PML 4P’s learning methodology;
- To adopt, promote and use as means of communication, English and French language among students in/out class area;
- To prepare Module Plan two weeks prior to class delivery for each module assign outlining all key dates for class activities;
- To facilitate lectures, conduct tutorials, design syllabi, prepare written material such as lesson, notes, assignment among others for class use and bridge theory to practice in the classroom and beyond;
- To set class assignments and test, prepare examination papers, marks scripts and input marks in the Student Information System;
- To participate in Academic Committees and Examination boards;
- To liaise with the industry stakeholders for the placement of students;
- To organise Industry Visit for students twice per trimester;
- To invite Industry Experts/ Speakers during class delivery per trimester;
- To maintain a dynamic classroom style focused on a mix of theory, videos, group discussions, debates, presentation, games/quizzes and other more modern pedagogical tools;
- To adopt creative learning methodology and promote simulation-type concept in class so as students are exposed to real life scenario;
- To practice Flipped Classroom learning methodology in class;
- To contribute in the evaluation, process the students through the Professional Conduct Evaluation System;
- To attend training on Class 365.
- To regularly update the Learning Management System (LMS) on Class 365 by inputting course related material, all grades (continuous, practical, internship and final exam) and general information.
- To use Classe 365 (our Learning Management Platform) to communicate with students and administration
- To take attendance on Classe 365 before the start of every class throughout the semester
- To coordinate with our academic partner, receive training and maintain quality assurance on all academic partner programme and related work;
- To promote and participate in the organisation of programmes, events, and activities aimed at showcasing PML`s active involvement in the community;
- To participate and support (as and when required) in PolyCAS and PolyCORE session;
- Any other related duty as assigned by the Management.
Note:
(i) As Associate Lecturer/ Lecturer (part time), you will have a primary interest in the whole training function and should therefore devote all your attention to the students.
(ii) Your services as Associate Lecturer/ Lecturer (part time) shall be apportioned by the Programme Leader to any specific field within your area of competency to provide a high level of service to students, as and when required.
