Mr Suryakant (Suraj) Caleechurn, joined Polytechnics Mauritius Limited as Administrative and HR Manager in October 2017. Suraj qualifications comprise a BSc Electrical Engineering, an MSc Engineering Project Management and an MBA Human Resource Management. Suraj experience include Training officer and Assistant Manager HR, both at the Industrial and Vocational Training Board (IVTB), renamed Mauritius Institute of Training and Development (MITD). He also served as Knowledge and Learning Projects Manager at the British Council, Assistant Manager at the Mauritius Shipping Corporation Ltd (MSCL), Human Resource Manager at the Call Services Limited (CSL), subsidiary of Mauritius Telecom, and Manager Human Resources at the State Insurance Company of Mauritius (SICOM). Mr Caleechurn is a high level strategic human resource practitioner leaning his implementation methods on talent management, knowledge management, performance management and training management among others.
Oomesh is the Finance Manager at Polytechnics Mauritius Ltd., where he plays a strategic leadership role in financial management, planning, and the successful delivery of key organisational initiatives. With over 18 years of professional experience, including more than nine years with Big 4 firms Deloitte Middle East (Qatar) and EY, Oomesh has built strong expertise in accounting, auditing, and financial strategy across multiple sectors such as education, real estate, construction, aviation, financial services, and manufacturing, among others, both locally and internationally. From 2021 to 2024, he also served as Chairman of a leading Mauritian Financial Institution. Oomesh is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Member of the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants (MIPA).
Mr Ashok Seeraj is a seasoned professional in Procurement and Supply management with over 30 years of experience in the public sector. His experience spans the Ministry of Trade and Shipping, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Ministry of Education and Human Resources, Ministry of Youth and Sports, The Police Department and The Mauritius National Assembly.
He holds a degree in Procurement and Supply Management and a Master’s in Logistics and Supply Management. Moreover, he has contributed to the professional growth of civil servants by conducting Procurement and Supply Management courses at the Mauritius Civil Service College.
He is dedicated to enforce transparency in procurement procedures by maintaining commitment to ethical standards and adhering to rules and regulations. He also ensures that all procurement activities uphold principles of fairness, honesty and equity.
At Polytechnics Mauritius Limited Ashok holds the position of Procurement Manager since year 2020.
