A Career Counselling Workshop at Polytechnics Mauritius

Polytechnics Mauritius is organizing a “Career Counselling Workshop” ahead of the SC and HSC results to orient students on careers in the higher technical sphere, achieved through Polytechnics style education

The objective of the workshop would be to assist the younger generation in making the right decision when making a career choice. This is not just an educational decision, this is a life decision which is going to have a social and economic impact.

As education systems are diversifying and expanding, the creation of new jobs and opportunities are changing the way students make their career choices. With such changes in place, career planning has become more complex and challenging. Where formal sources of career guidance are not easily accessible, individuals tend to rely on their family and friends, leading to choices where they end up in careers they do not see a successful future in.

This workshop will help students in exploring various career options and provides comprehensive knowledge which will help them in decision making and grooming of one’s personality for the job world and will help them to achieve their identified career options or acquiring their professional goals.
